My Story

My name is Edgar, I'm born and raised from SW Portland. Raliegh Hills, a product of academics and athletic hustle from Bridlemile, West Sylvan and Wilson HS. Which is now called 'Ida B. Wells' now. Then I attended and graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Business from Oregon State University in Corvallis, OR. From classmates to meeting people at school, I learned that many people come from different cities. Taking down phones numbers to connect and network. Area Codes were my indicators of people who are not from here. Once I got a (503) area code. I was excited to meet them more. Learned that (503) used to be all of Oregon til cell phones came out. Oregon got split into 2 area codes. (503) is basically the NW section of Oregon. All the way to the coast.

After school and working at Enterprise Rent-A-Car and a Card Service Rep on the phone at Wells Fargo bank department of collections. Oh man, the many area codes. Just knew one area code would get me excited to see is (503). After a couple years of the bank, I was just not challenged and never be outside or no travel for work. I decided to take out my tiny 401K and start my sticker idea. Keep it simple. So 11 Years ago I wanted a sticker to Represent Portland. Instead of Oregon with the Green Heart sticker and being for all of Oregon. I wanted to be Portland with the Area Code of 503. So to be different, I Created Five O Tree.
